How do I choose from the quotes I receive from my auction?
Each quote will show you the name of the insurance provider, with some information about their business, along with an indicative price for your policy, along with any policy features and/or conditions, and details of any add-on options. The choice is literally yours. But remember, at this stage, you’re not choosing to buy the policy; you’re simply choosing which insurance provider you’d like to contact in order to discuss your needs fully.
What if I don’t receive any insurance quotes from my auction?
Firstly, if none of our panel of insurance providers offers a quote, we remind them to! Also, we give you the chance to extend your auction in case our panel of insurance providers ran out of time or missed your request. It is possible, though, that the insurance needs you outlined, they cannot cover.
Are the quotes I receive guaranteed to match the price I will pay for my insurance?
Any quotes provided are based on the information you have provided, which will need to be checked and validated by your chosen insurance provider. The price you pay will only be confirmed once you have spoken to your chosen provider.
Do I have to wait until the end of my auction to choose my insurance provider?
No, you can choose an insurance provider and stop the auction process at any time.
What happens when I choose my insurance provider?
We tell any of the other insurance providers who responded that the auction was over and that they hadn’t been chosen. With your consent, we’ll then share your contact details with the insurance provider that you have chosen, and we’ll also tell them when you’d like them to contact you. Then sit back and wait for their call! Alternatively, we do share their contact details with you, so if you wish, you can call them!
Do I have to buy my insurance from the insurance provider I choose?
Absolutely not. You’re under no obligation to purchase from any of our insurance providers whether you chose them via Gavello or not. We’re only putting you and them in contact with each other to discuss your needs.
What if I don’t want to choose any of the insurance providers at the end of my auction?
When your auction ends, we’ll prompt you to choose an insurance provider as long as at least one quote is presented. If you don’t respond, with your consent we’ll choose one for you, and they may contact you.
Why do you ask me to tell Gavello what happened after I chose my insurance provider?
It helps us to ensure that our insurance providers are maintaining the highest standards possible.
How many times can I use Gavello to find insurance quotes?
You can only have one “active” auction at a time, but other than that, there’s no limit to the number of times you can use Gavello to help you find insurance.
How much does it cost me to use Gavello?
There is no cost to you for using our service. We do charge insurance providers a small commission for their participation.

We take your privacy very seriously. Your data is securely stored and only shared with our insurance providers with your consent. We also use industry-standard encryption to protect your information.
